Hello there,

Does anyone happen to have BT's fraud department phone number, I had my phone systems hacked last month on sunday morning, and they didnt notify me that £700 worth of calls had been made until monday evening...

Ontop of that i have an aleart service turned on that notifies me of any calls made above £1 by email, i recieved all these emails .......... Tuesday.

I've spoken to them about this once already and they said they would look into the matter, but alas i've heard nothing and the costs are still on the account.

Anyone have some lovely numbers i can call to try to get this resolved? i could have fixed the phone system if emails had arrived and only suffered minor costs, but as i recieved no emails until tuesday .... im not amused.

Many thanks :)

wow, why is everyone trolling the OP?
clearly he's upset at being defrauded and wanted to vent - and all he got was wise guy replies

Because it's Wednesday? Or maybe the old adage, ask a stupid question get a stupid answer applies.

Come on the replies are meant in jest. I am sure nobody meant to upset him. He was being a bit silly coming on GD and asking a question like that. We all know if you ask silly questions then you will get silly replies.

One of the things I love about GD is the funny replies. We have some very funny people on this forum.

By the way this is the worst I have some phones thread ever.

whilst i dont have the number i bid you good luck, expect to have to pay all the money required despite them admitting there wrong then spend the next 4 months fighting to get the money back whilst they systematically try their best to screw you out of it , one indian call centre at a time.

BT are a bunch of scam artists - do not trust them under ANY circumstance.

Don't think BT will be much hope. In the mean time bar the voicemail by class of service and lock it down. Make sure all unused mailboxes are off and change all default passwords.

Be worth getting some call management software too.
