Please note that we are making some changes to our usage allowances and charges. From 1 April 2009, Option 2 usage will be increasing to 20GB a month, which means you will be able to do more of your favourite things online within your monthly subscription. We are also increasing our charges for over usage to £1 per extra GB for all customers who are not on unlimited products.

Up from a current 58p which was up from just 10p per GB.

They don't have the bandwidth now and they're going to allow a greater amount of downloads, it should make good reading in the forums when this happens.

I'm on BT, no choice here. It's BT or nothing as far as broadband is concerned.

Actually, we have the option of Tiscali. If you could call that an option.

And OT, Skippi you have the coolest sig ever. \o/

Unless your exchange was enabled under the Exchange Activate scheme, in which case your choice is BT or one of at most 5 others, depending if they could be arsed.S

How is that ever true? OK you might not have any LLU providers, but that doesn't limit you to BT Broadband.

Pop WWCRED into Samknows and have a look for yourself.

It took a petition to get BT to enable the damn exchange for BB in the first place, so I wasn't expecting miracles with regards to choice.

In all fairness, BT are "okay" - nothing to write home about, but since I lost it on the phone to them 6 months ago the service has been reasonable.

Never had a problem with BT but then I just surf the internet and don't download movies 24/7. To be honet I think BT get a pretty bad press without real justification allthough there prices are creeping up so I am reviewing my options.

BT as an ISP are overpriced and you can get the same levels of service and much better customer support elsewhere. Ive recently worked on a few clients machines remotely with BT connections, they seem to throttle even http traffic heavily at peak times.

You'd think with their acquisition of Plusnet they'd at least know how to configure traffic management hardware properly.

Yea but your not limited to just BT. You can choose any other ADSL ISP like any Entanet reseller right?

When are BT going to upgrade again? it seems all other ISP's are getting better and faster. BT's still the same for years. doesnt make me want to stay with them at all because there offering me the same rubbish.
