BT increasing overuse charges - again!

Get away from them as soon as you can, managed to get my parents off BT last year, best thing I did. We were actually on the 21CN ADSL2+ trial and the service was just as bad as their ADSL product, sure we had a faster connection but you couldn't make any good use of it, they throttled traffic to death if it wasn't HTTP traffic (they were running the trials with the aim of deployment in October 2008, doesn't look like that happened). They also are very expensive, supply a crappy locked down router and have involvement with PHORM, not a good company to deal with.

With regards to the O2 latency issues, yes they exist, I suffer from them time to time but it's because I'm stuck on their Access package which means you are connected using BT's equipment rather than O2's. There is very little O2 can do about it apart from installing their equipment in the BT exchange.

Any Enta reseller (UKFSN, Aquiss, ADSL24), Zen, Plusnet, AAISP. They'll say you've got an existing ADSL service but they're available.
So is Tiscali LLU according to Samknows...

Give me some examples and i'll check availability.

You can't check the individual availability of all the ADSL ISP's since they all use the same equipment. Basically if you can get BT broadband you can get any other standard ADSL ISP such as the enta resellers as tolien mentioned.

I shall be ditching them at the end of the month, I wonder how hard it will be to get my mac code off them ive heard its not easy.

They have to give it to you within 5days I think it is.

If they don't give it to you over the phone but insist on emailing it to you make sure you ring them after a couple of days.
Mine never turned up even though they claimed to have sent it within 24hrs of my call.

ive heard its not easy.

Took me 3 Months to get one for my parents, absolute joke. I would have been more annoyed but they were on the 21CN ADSL2+ trial which was free. I was talking to India everytime until I managed to get the number of the guy in charge of the trial.

At least with O2 you're guaranteed to be talking to someone in the UK, although it's still a challenge getting people to understand you have a better chance of gettings problems sorted.
