Hey guys!

I'm MEANT to be getting fibre in my area soon, I've had the 'coming soon' notification from BT, the road was shut and dug up for 2 days but that was all about 2 months ago though and since then, nothing? I'm not a BT customer but is there anywhere I can find out any more info about when and if I'll be able to upgrade?

I have a similar issue, I have the green boxes installed a few years ago and the date keeps getting put back.

Checking BT now shows January - June 2015 :(

I may have to jump to Virgin!
 
just remember our local exchange was upgrade a year ago and as of yet my work still is on 4mb internet because they are not planning on doing that cabinet yet
 
Everything (all the online checks) seem to suggest that our exchange will go live tomorrow - am I being wildly optimistic to assume that I will be able to make an order from then or just after?

I'm seeing a lot of stories online of people's activation dates being put back, months or in some cases years :(

Yep, my date has been pushed back from March 2012 and now Oct 2014-March 2015. It changes every 6 months.

I'm so glad Open Reach are pushing out FTTP before finishing FTTC. < Sarcasm.

The exchange could be enabled months, possibly years before your cabinet is.

Ha, so what are you meant to do then, just keep checking? The lack of info available is really irritating, where I am is meant to be part of a rural broadband scheme and no ones heard a thing! I stupidly thought that the road being closed for those days was the start of it :p

Are you in Romsey? I ask because I have the same date but little else!
 
Look here www.roadworks.org to find out work if your local PCP cabinet is being upgraded.

Input your postcode, select within 'next 12 months' and see if there are any phone works planned from BT.
