Is anyone here with BT Internet just on Broadband and how do you find them. Do they slow your connection down?

It just they have a good pricing deal and I am thinking moving to them from plus net

I have Infinity 2 and consistently get anywhere from 60/15 to 78/20. It's great.

Touch wood, I've never had a problem that switching off and on again didn't fix and don't experience any throttling issues that bother me; although BT are open on the fact they throttle p2p usage at peak times.

im on bt (for one more day as im jumping to sky as its cheaper), and its ok, although they do shape torrenting from around half 4 till about 1am. also youtube can be a tad temperamental as well at the same time but bt swear they dont shape youtube.

works fine for netflix/lovefilm anytime of day though.

but the main issue is the price, £28 a month for dsl wit no cap's hence im off to sky which will save me £20 a month for the same deal, only just been able to get it mind being on a smaller exchange.

Don't get normal BT Broadband, you will regret it as when you come to use it, it just grinds to a halt and you are back on dial up speeds, check samknows site to see if there is any option for an LLU operator on your exchange.

Also on BT and noticed this too.
The price isn't the best for what I'm actually getting.
When something does go wrong, expect to be put through to a foreign call centre.

The only one is Talk Talk :(

Then get it, it's 1000x better than BT, you have the same situation as me by the sounds of it, i only had BT as a provider in my exchange until recently and I tried sky through BT's equipment, total rubbish, went to BT with it being there equipment and they said 8mb unlimited, even worse that what sky could give me with many webpages taking a very very very long time to load, it felt like I was on dial up, then came along TalkTalk with there own equipment (LLU), my life changed as soon as I got connected to TalkTalk, I could game again and watch Youtube and even better all 3 of us in the household could use the internet at the same time, trust me if there is only TalkTalk LLU go with it.

This is what I get now

On bt option 3 here, upto 8mb adsl. £19.00 per month, unlimited. Tbh it's diabolical, the traffic shaping in the evenings slows it to a crawl.

Speedtest run just now.

In a short while it will be much slower. No forthcoming infinity in the town i live in. Yet in many smaller villages within 1-2 miles from me it's available.

Yep, we were originally paying £24.95 per month. When the contract was up for renewal they offered us a drop to £19.99 per month if we would continue to use it. Though looking on the bt site just now, the option 3 package is down to £21.00 per month.

and iv been paying £28 a month :S got to love bt's deals, better than if your a long term customer.

skys still cheaper. £10 a month if your not subbing to sky, £7.50 if you are.
