BT Internet problems...

Bit of a pickle.

Basically tried to fix my friends router with no luck, so decided to use his Bt Voyager modem instead. However he doesnt remember his username or password - so we rang BT and spent almost an hour for some usless woman in India to tell us what the username might be.

Next, i went to their website and tried to reset the password. The username seemed to work but when we entered postcode & DOB it said the information was invalid - were 100% sure its right.

My guess is the user name we used might be someone elses and the post code and DOB doesnt match theirs obvousily BUT we have tried every combination of his dads first name and surname.

The woman on the phone says there isnt a password, and internet says details arent right. Any ideas what to do?

He hasnt used their ineternet yet, and his dad forgot it. We think we know the email as its his first name and last - just the one that initally seems to work doesnt match up with Post code and DOB
 
Right, got the internet working now. Turns out was his name in username and not his dad's. But now the internet cuts out like every 5 or 10 mins - any ideas why id would do this?
