Hiya's,

Where the BT cable/box should be there's nothing there but a capped end of a cable under the plaster, It's a lower corner of a main window area

Any ideas as to what BT will do or even charge for getting this hidden wiring back into use ?????

Any ideas ???

Cheers

have you just moved in ?

afaik, bt will come and put a box in for free.. i think they are responsible for the main box in to the house

edit: yes this assumes you have a line which you are paying for already....

Hiya's,

The line was in and working about 5yrs ago

But not a paid line since then (had NTL so went with cable BB etc), so guess i'll have to pay lol

Cheers for replies

Well if you complain loudly they'll end up just dropping the charge anyway, they don't really care so long as they've got you back as a customer - to keep up their 'x number of people switch back to BT every day' marketing

The "new" type is in two parts, with a faceplate that comes off, but that's what BT have been fitting for the last 20 years...
