Last night I got BT Openworld broadband setup on someones PC which uses Vista 64bit and a speedtouch 3300 usb mobem.

Got it all set up with the correct drivers and BT software, got on the internet ok no problems. Yet for some reason, tonight when he tried to log onto the internet, once he clicked on his name in the BT software, it wouldnt connect, just came up with the dial up dialog box with an error of unable to connect, something to do with connection already in use I think

Anyone know what the problem is? Bit baffled as it was working fine the night before when I was there, yet today he cant get it working. Only thing I changed on the PC was installing the printer after setting up the internet

Yeah thats what I though, but the person who I'm doing this for is very relucant to spend any money on this at all, he's got a bad financial position at the moment so not able to spend.

Once I found the right drivers for Vista on the net, the modem went on no problems at all, suppose if worst comes to worst I'll just have to put XP on to it.

If it was my connection I might be tempted, but I dont want to be responsible if something went wrong in "haggling" with BT.

I'll give it a whirl with Vista one last time to see why its stopped working, if I cant figure it out, I'll just dig out XP to put back on it...save all the messing about
