Hi all,

Thinking of reducing costs and changing my bb supplier to either Sky or BT.

I live in an area that has ADSL2+ but no cable or fibre. The exchange has LLU services for Sky and TalkTalk (http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/EMSAWTR).

Which would you all go for please?

We currently have Sky HD+ for TV and BT for phone so will be able to negotiate with both companies, possibly.

Cheers in advance,

Edward

if your looking to reduce costs then your best bet would be to sign up as a new customer with Sky and get all your services through them.

By getting services from different companies your not getting the huge discounts that packages offer.

Read my posts from here for info on saving HUGE money

specifically how to get new customer deals, worth reading all my posts in that thread.

Sky and BT share the exact same network in regards to phone and internet, therefore internet or phone lines from either company should be the exact same in terms of performance.

I have all of my services through sky and im paying roughly £45 a month for;

Entertainment Extra Plus
Sports Package
Movie Package
HD and 3D Packs
Sky Go Extra
Multi Room in 1 additional room

Line Rental
Sky Talk Unlimited
Broadband Unlimited

My actual bill is around £60 a month but I for about £200 in cashback by ordering online and going through quidco which I take off the subscription cost overall.

Another reason why my bill is so cheap is that I used a friends and family discount cod from a sky employee who uses these forums.

Otherwise my package would be around £120 a month as a "loyal" customer. So i'm saving around £70+ a month.
