BT Phorm

about time too, I made it clear to them when I left that the potential phorm deployment was a major factor in my refusal to sign a 12 month contract with them.

It's people like yourself that truly won this victory for privacy. I salute you sir. :)

they probably realised that using phorm to monitor what we do is pointless.

At the end of it all - *I* can still see everyone having their stuff hosted on the net eventually. And it wont use monitoring - prob something like a subscription service.

Im going to shut up now and not change the subject - but at the end of it - less and less of our information is being kept private as more and more dependancy is based upon the internet. I believe thats just how progress is going to go. Thats what the borg next to me says.

all i can say is THANK GOD.

what an appalling affront to personal privacy it would have been :(

But as an ISP BT still suck. Phorm was probably the final straw in my decision to get my parents away from them nearly a year ago. Their traffic shaping is still unacceptable and compared to other ISP's they are bad value.
