BT Router settings for Netgear DG834GT

I think it may be time to ring BT now like, I cant seem to understand how what we have all said hasnt worked :( I really would contact BT as tis would fix everything & if they get silly just say the homehub is broken. ask for your username & password for logging on & see if its any different..

They are idiots because its not their router they will not provide support. Nice and helpful. But they say the same as what I have already tried.

What about firmware, could it need refreshing?
 
Ok just an update. I have tried this router on my own computer and am getting the same issues. So two different computers and providers now.

On the modem status it just shows `connecting`

The lights are on and I have flashed it with new firmware but still no joy.

Any other suggestions? Is it broke?

When I plug my other router back in, it just starts as it should. I have had a netgear one work on here before too.

So you tried it in two different setups, flashed the firmware, rang BT and tried all manner of settings, whilst having neglected to connect the thing to the phone socket? :D

It was for someone else as well so when I told my wife she laughed her head off and has told everyone now.
