Hi guys,

Anyone upgraded thier ADSL speeds?

I got my activation email yesterday but have noticed no speed increase at all. I have a 2mb line and upgraded to an (up to) 8mb line but the speeds have stayed at the 2mb speed. I take it my Efficient Networks 5861 router will be fine to handle the new speed increase. Im a bit confused as when I log onto the EN router website its giving this info. Can someone please shed some light. Many thanks. :)

Ive just got the dsl upgrade, router says 3919, but still i can only pull at old 1 meg speeds, upload has gone to 448 , and thats working, download still drops to 1 meg.The way the MAX system works is that the speeds you get will rise (and sometimes fall) over a few days. The synchronisation speed will vary and you may get disconnected quite often to start with. Many people find that it all stabilises over 3 days but it can take up to 10 days for this to happen

There's an issue with the BRAS no updating quickly enough to up your throughput, if it's still happening at the end of 10 days contact your ISP.

4 days into my upgrade and the speed has increased at 2pm to 5.6mbs...now at 18:20 gone back down to 1.8mbs..great! at least I know things are working and im going to get a nice connection in 6 days time.
