Right i went for my induction today it was 2 hours :o and the told me to come back on friday to enrol :)

Has enybody on here ever done the BTEC System support

And what was it like? Was it eny good :D

i done the BTEC Diploma for Systems Support last year :)

unfortunately, it was not what i was expecting, it was mainly all networking theory :(
 
network math would be subnetting :D its quite easy once you figure out how to do it :)

subnetting properly, not 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 like you would do at home, you gotta do VLSM and stuff :( and then i had to configure it all onto a load of cisco routers :)
 
its a good course though :D but heavy on the networking, luckily i was doing a cisco course aswell as the btec, most of the cisco answers were for the btec anyway and cisco just gives you the answers, lol
 
I finished the course in July was a good course but like you all said its all very network based but still not bad, best one out of the 3 to choose!
 
i absolutely hated every networking module in my btec and hnd. I suppose its ok if you're into all that, but i found it the most annoying/boring thing ever. Get out now while you still can :p If networking doesn't interest you, you will seriously consider suicide in few months time.
