Bonjour!

Had my first watercooling kit for a year now [jesus that went quickly] and im now finding a few bubbles in my tube res. Yeah so that might sound normal to everyone but its actually not supposed to happen if you look at my weird setup combining a tube res and bay pump/res combo...

For about 11 months the tube res was 100% liquid, now im getting a small buildup of bubbles which are not shifting. I have also noticed that the liquid level has gone down a bit in the bay pump / res combo... Could this be because I should replace my Mayhems Pastel Blue liquid? It has been in there for a year afterall (and up till this point has been 110% perfect!)

Any help would be appreciated! :D

You could have had a bit of air in your radiators or blocks that hadn't shifted.

I wouldn't worry about a bit of air in the res.

This is the problem with running the tube res on its side like that is that you can't bleed it of any build up of air. What you effectively done is use the bleed point as a inlet/outlet. It's fairly normal for water levels to go down over prolonged periods of time due to evaporation through the tubing wall, so you will need to top up once in a while.

I found myself topping up quite a bit with my old loop for some reason :p

Ahh, im glad its standard for the levels to go down then... I never thought of evaporation THROUGH the tubing... i thought it would have just been at the connections! Amazing! I guess whats happening to my system then is that the water level is just getting to the stage where a tiny bit of air gets pushed through the pump...

Tbh i wish it did keep the air in the bay pump/res combo because you might be able to see a bit of movement in the liquid but after a few days of first installing it there was not even a spec of air left in there! Its just now after about a year of the same liquid, im starting to get a few bubbles back!
