Buckled BMW wheels!

Might be worth a punt on the repair considering the cost. Seems like the wheel specialist in Manchester is 2 miles from work so will have to drive in one day this week and get them to take a look.

Good shout. I did have all 4 tyres changed not long ago and they didn't mention anything.

I'll take it somewhere else and get them to check.

I have 18" wheels on my Focus and was having my wheels balanced when I noticed they were wobbling a bit - The tyre guy couldn't see them as he is stood over the shield - he then said he couldn't balance them - took it to another garage and he did it - I did say after they were buckled (three of them) and he said yes I did see but balanced the buckle out - he did a good job to - Mine are about £400 each but If I can't feel it and it passes MOT then I am happy - car it too old to worry about buying new wheels - I can probably find the pothole that did them in as roads round here are horrendous. Years ago I did successfully claim for a bulged tyre and buckled wheel - Malfeasance and Ignorance is no defense in law saw a instant change of heart with the council.

You were lucky, I managed to hit a pothole in Westminster on the A40 (Red route and all that) that made my alloy wheel come through the tyre... twice. Called them on one of those emergency phone booths as I stopped to try and take pictures and heard another 3-4 cars hitting it and going boom / hissssss within the space of a few minutes and they went yeah uhmmmm, that one... yeah thanks. Motorway maintenance truck pulls up 2 minutes later! and fills it up.

When I went throught he paperwork and eventually reached the council they pretty much told me to go whistle as they have evidence the road was "inspected" two weeks before the hole was there so there's nothing they need to do. From what I've read at the time, it was a pretty good defense in law.
