Budget? Base PC component spec - Been a long time.

PSU is ... Be Quiet ! Dark Power Pro 650 Watt
yeah keep this, no requirement to upgrade for a 13600k + 3070

CPU Cooler is Corsair H60 (but i assume older generation)
i'd upgrade this tbh. i'm assuming this is the OG from 2014 when you bought/built your 4770k rig?
a thin 120mm aio isn't really what you want cooling 170w of cpu
and also the pump may be on its way out/coolant evaporating
it's had 8 years of use, time to retire

Fair enough. I've just taken the top vent off the case to check. Looks like i could mount a 240 there if the piping will allow :

that aio is a h80i, so probably newer than your 4770k
i guess you could try it (will need to buy fittings for lga 1700 though)
also you would want the pipes to be below the radiator, so air will build up in the "reservoir" rather than air-locking the pump, when the coolant eventually gets low

you may or may not be able to fit a 240mm aio up top, most older cases have their top fan mounts centred, so the aio+fans may come into contact with the mobo/ram heatsinks, so check how much depth from the top you have to play with

no worries :)

also when you buy your new rig, (i'm sure you know already) your PSU is multi-rail, so you don't want to connect your cpu eps connector on the same rail as the gpu pcie connectors
(see the psu manual for which rail powers which connector)

You can fit a 240mm aio in the top I checked but personally wouldn't get the arctic as you may have clearance issiue due to its thicker radiator , stick with corsair.

just dispense with aio cooling if you can't get the arctic liquid freezer and go old school heatsink/fan

if you want to get the heatsink from ocuk = Fuma 2
if you want to shop around: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE

which one would i get? peerless assassin 120 SE

both cheaper than aio options (like nearly half the price)

Just resurrecting this to say thanks to those who helped me. I ended up purchasing this:

Total: £829.42 (includes delivery: £10.50)

I actually got lucky and the Mobo was a B-Grade version for £150.00 and it seems all fine. I think it was a return becuase when i installed everything i got a CPU red Light, after talking to OcUK support though i was told i needed to update the BIOS to support the processor. Did that surprisingly easily and everything is working great!

I'll see how i get on with the 120mm cooler, it actually looks like i could fit the 240mm on the top of the case which i wasnt expecting so played safe with the 120mm.

So a big thanks to everyone! - Now onto the next problem, the best way to move to a new M2 HDD i bought and CSM to UEFI at the same time. (for another thread)
