Okay my Pc is in lieu as i raise the money for it, thanks for all the advice by the way. My friend is after a new desktop, shes not very intensive on it, so no quad core necessary etc.... Her budget is around 250-300, she has monitor keyboard etc... and i dont think she needs an OS either. I found a few things, can you guys just let me know if these things are compatable, and if this build is going to be okay? All she really does is run Photoshop CS3, itunes, internet etc... Oh and she plays the sims 3 (dont ask).

What i came up with is....

So can you guys spec me a suitable hard drive, PSU, DVD drive, and let me know if this is okay as a basic budget build for a little moderate gaming, and general use.

Cheers

Would that be a better idea than to by the overclocked bundle? As the 4 items in the bundle seem the same kind of spec, but considerably cheaper than buying the 4 from your list.

The motherboard in the overclocked bundle is kinda crummy - id stay away.
The chipset in the one spec'ed above is considerably better and much newer.
And the Athlon II x2 is newer and better too.

I see, so the motherboard specced in the overclocked bundle, is it really that bad? What are the issues with it? Considering all she wants to do is stick a 4850 in it, play sims, use photoshop and internet, and thats literally it. Would it not suffice?

I forgot to mention she has a ATI 4850 that her brother gave her from his old system to put in it too, so that needs to be taken into account.
