Budget Case

barely lol i dont like or hate it, the case does the job, and for what the OP is asking, he dont have the money to be picking looks over functionality ;)

Antec 300

£46.99 inc
Use some re-usable zip ties and you should be fine.

Silverstone SST-PS03B

£42.99 inc
  • no zip ties needed
  • all black interior
  • better cooling
stulid, I'd like to pull you up over your statements . .

Firstly, you don't need zip-ties with the Antec 300, secondly what is worthy about a black interior on a case with no side window? . . Thirdly how exactly does the Silverstone offer "better cooling" when it features a single [front] 120mm intake vs the two [front] 120mm intakes on the Antec 300?

the zip tie comment was in reference to milanochris about the antec 300.

and do you know the cfm of the fans in the antec 300 compared to the silverstone? fan numbers isn't everything.

black interiors look more classy. fact.

I see, so you assumed that was a defect with the Antec 300 then when he was most likey meaning that zip ties are a "generic" aid to a tidy case?

I'm sure you realise the answer to your question depends on which 120mm fans the end user chooses right? . . .probably not! :p

You appear to not know very much about effective airflow techniques . . . Front Intakes are very nice indeed and two 120mm [Front] intakes provide better cooling than one . . .

stulid, steady on with your "facts" please . . . and again I ask you how can you make a selling point of something you cannot see? :D

the silverstone has three fans fitted, the antec 300 has two fitted out of the box, so the cooling system of the silverstone must be better if we are counting fans.

firstly the zip tie comment was used in jest for milanochris, don't take what I say to someone else as something you can pick up on,

and the silverstone has more fans fitted as standard compared to the antec300, I know I have checked the manufacture websites, so it's nothing to do with what fans are fitted by the end user.

The Antec 300 has one 120mm Tri-cool and one 140mm Tri-Cool . . . if the end user removes the rear 120mm Tri-Cool and attaches it to the front and set's both the Tri-Cool fans to full RPM I suspect it's win! :D

The mistake on my behalf was possibly "assuming" that Jony27 was not going to add any custom fans of his own and for that I apologize . . . however working on the assumption of which case has the better cooling "potential" then the Antec 300 cannot be beaten . . . this however does mean added expense of purchasing a custome fan which may not be desirable is someone is working to a barebone budget . . .

With that said I hope I finally managed to get my point across that if wanting a budget case that offers the best "potential" cooling then having two 120mm [front] fan spots just cannot be beaten!

I can pick up on any advice and reasoning you issue stulid . . .the more you deal "facts" and "blanket statements" the more were gonna have run ins . . .

I can see the problem is one of communication and the way you seem to get defensive if asked to exlpain your reasoning . . .

Read my previous post . . .

If talking about out-the-box cooling then your arguement is more valid but certainly not 100% . . . if you ever had experience of a Tri-Cool fan you would understand . . however if the end user wants the "Best" cooling as well as a superb Front-Intake filter system and is prepared to spend a few quid £££ extra then your arguement is flawed . . .
