Budget for CBT gear?

I'll purely be using the bike for commuting, so I don't have a choice of car. I'm wary of the weather is really bad (heavy snow etc..) how will I cope?

Seriously, no idea. The thought of riding in snow is terrifying.

yeah snow riding is fine on an off-road bike with knobly tyres, screw that on a road bike luckily we don't get much snow, it's just for a few weeks each year.

Ah riding in the snow is fine! All you have to do is put your feet either side of the bike and ski with your boots on!

i wouldnt even attempt riding if the roads are snow covered,unless you have tyres with snow spikes in them,but if roads are clear go for it,and watch out if its too icy,
