Budget gaming pc spec

Probably the same reason OCUK were selling the Antec truepower 750w cheaper than the 650w version, buy a huge amount in and sell cheap?

Actually, whats wrong wrong with the heatsink supplied with the Phenom? its copper based etc.

he wants to overclock it. Is the phenoms heat sink really capable of 3.8-4ghz?

I suppose that makes sense. Can't say i've ever really considered any of the cheap heat sinks before so never actually looked into them.

Its a bargain, and god knows what Cookeh based his opinion on.

No its not.

A bargain is the Hyper 212+ for £16 inc.

This is £13 for a cooler that runs stock cpus less than 8'c cooler than the stock heatsink.

A quote from techgage:
The Silent Night 2 is a completely different design than the other ASUS coolers tested. The fan was very quiet and did a good job cooling the stock-clocked processor. It too, however, was unable to handle the overclocked speeds used for the testing.

Seeing as OP actually wants to overclock, do you not think a suitable cooler would be better? :D
