Budget GPU < £100

A collegue at work is after a GPU to go with his A10 7850K & GA-F2A88XN for under £100 new (he has a voucher for another site).

Now I'm not too sure what the best bang for buck at this budget, he's said he's had slow down playing Sonic Lost World and is looking to get some more platform games for his children. Any suggestions?

The PSU is 650w and has PCIe connections if required.

1050 or 1050ti if they can stretch an extra £30.

I showed him the 1050ti and he didn't want to spend the extra. 1050 can be had for £10 more.

Any other options?

Not really. He needs to take that A10 around back of the barn and shoot it in the head. It's an awful CPU.
1050 is what it's going to be.

You can get an RX460 or RX550 for less than £100.

Nothing wrong with the 7850k. Disable the iGPU when he gets the new card so the CPU portion won't down clock under load. Then overclock using p-states and you can get 4.3/4.4ghz easily on the CPU.

P.s. use the AMD msrtweaker to do this pstate overclock.

Not sure he'll be happy with overclocking but I can mention it, thanks for the tip on the iGPU.

You can get an RX460 or RX550 for less than £100.

RX550 is terrible value - for £30 more the RX560 has literally double the performance (and I know the line has to be drawn somewhere, but £10 more buys the 4GB version rather than a 2GB version, for more longevity/resell value)
