Budget GPU to complement IGP

My mobo has a Radeon HD 4200 IGP and it supports hybrid crossfirex. I currently have to play games on low res (1024x768) even though I have a 1920x1080 monitor.

What budget gpu could I get what would complement my IGP and would help me get reasonable settings on some fairly decent games (devil may cry 4, assassin's creed)?

I do not do that much gaming so it would be crazy to spend too much. I reckon max budget would be £50 but I would rather it was around £30.

Any hope? :)

EDIT: also is there a recommended article on crossfire? I know nothing about it.

I'd say go second hand at that price range if you want something you could actually game with at a reasonable resolution. Look for geforce 8800, 9600, and radeon HD 3800, HD 4600 series cards and above. Avoid anything with less than 512MB of VRAM or G/DDR2 memory if you can avoid it. Most of the cards from the series I listed will blow that IGP out of the water, hybrid crossfirex from what I've gathered is useless for the most part since it can only be used with really low-end GPUs.

I agree with Lightnix. You won't be able to find any new card that can provide you with smooth gaming at 1920x1080 at sub-£50. I think your best bet is trying to look into the 2nd hand card market like Lightnix suggested...see if you can find a 2nd hand 1GB 4850 or something for £50.
