Hi guys,

What's the best low budget (ie, under ~£75) for low end gaming? Probably looking at older and/or indie games at 1080p and below. Can't be a huge card as I'm looking at an mITX build but 2nd hand's also an option.

I'd considered the 750Ti - is there a better option?

Thanks

Maybe I need to generate some more GC interest when I'm not talking about a £300+ GPU - Is AMD or Nvidia better in this price bracket? :p

If you can go up to £100 you can get a new AMD 270x, m girlfriend ran one for a long time and it ran everything she wanted perfect.

and on the Nvidia side, for 80-100 you'd be looking at a 750ti

£100's going to be too much, my allowed budget is £0 so I'm already in trouble spending £70 :p

Second hand 280X(or similar) for 70-80 quid.

*edit* ah, didnt read the mItx bit, might be too big. :)

I might get away with it depending on the case, will have to make measurements.

I might also be able to pick up a GTX460 for <£30, I know they're really old now but I've heard good things about performance for older games. Worth a punt?

My Vapor X 280X is 276 long, pretty big card.

Dunno if they did smaller ones, still decent enough for most gaming at highish settings at 1080p though and a second hand bargain.

Do you really want to go that old?

I'd hunt around for a 7850, A couple of years ago I got an MSI 2gb oc 7850 from OCUK (brand new) for 99 quid. That was November 2013 (Just checked purchase history) so I'm sure you'll find a decent secondhand one under budget and that was a great little 1080p card. I've owned several 7850's and spent a year on one when first released. More than adequate and technically AMD agree seeing as they still use a tweaked version of it in the 370 and the 265 which means you know a 7850 will still be getting decent driver support for the foreseeable future..
