Budget laptop recommendation please

Hi guys, my dad is after buying a laptop and I don't really know what to go for.

It's mainly going to be used for watching dvds on, browsing websites etc.

I want to get one that is best price/performance ratio. I found one that is:

HP6735's
AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core QL-60 1.9Ghz
Hard disk drive Serial ATA hard drive 250GB (5400 rpm)
Optical DVD rewriter LightScribe
4 GB DDR II, 667 MHz
Wireless technologies Wireless 802.11a/b/g/
Network interface Intel Fast Ethernet Integrated Controller (10/100 NIC)

for £390.

This seems to have good specs for the price, do you agree or is there better alternatives for a better price?

Any recommendations would be great as I don't know much about laptops.

The Dell vostro line seem to provide good bang for buck (they are small business orientated).
