Due to being hoofed off my normal gaming PC by the other half i'm in dire need of another PC, only requisite is that it must be small!

I'm looking at the mini ITX cases and they look amazing but I must confess it's a bit greek to me when they start talking about clearance for graphics card and fitting in cases.

I quite like the look of the Antec ISK 600 so any build/component suggestions would be welcome around that.

It just needs to play D3 and Skyrim at max and play some of the newer games at medium settings.

Thank you.

GPU power for Skyrim at maximum settings will vary massively according to how many mods and visual enhancements you are running.

Having said that I've seen a mini ITX build in a Sugo SG13 with a titan X in it.

That case takes 12.5" gpus so you'll definitely be able to find something.

Other than making sure you make a good choice of how to fill your ram slots then you just need to approach this like any other build.

What budget?

Budget is cheaper the better! I'm not a heavy skyrim modder so it's out of the box skyrim I play normally with the DLC.

I would say my max budget is around 600 but as I said the cheaper the better ...

I was also thinking of going down the Steam box root but again it's a black art!

Don't need to overclock or an OS, i've been tinkering around on overclockers and come up with this.

Intel i5-4460
Asus Geforce GTX 750i
ASrock H97M Pro4
Bitfenix Prodigy M MATX Case
Superflow FX 550W '80 Bronze Power Supply
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB

Don't need a HDD as I have plenty around at home and it'll be on a normal TFT monitor, although would quite like to have HDMI 1080p support if I go down the steam box.

I'm so out of the loop with Graphics cards by the way so go easy on me.

Was also looking at water cooling for the CPU but not sure what can fit in that case.

You don't need to watercool a non k cpu on a budget.

How much does that lot cost?

Can you shave off some more money by going lower poser on the PSU? I run my rig with overclocked cpu and gpu on 450w.

I'd try and improve on the 750, it's pretty weak and low perf/price. The only time I ever recommend them is to save a psu upgrade as they run off the pci slot.

The cpu/ram/board are a good start but need to know how much you've got left for a gpu?

Even a small ssd for your OS would be a big overall upgrade to the general feel of the machine in day to day use.

There is a b grade 290 oc for sale for £149 which would destroy anything else you could get for that money.

You would need to check psu requirements and length.

Although b grade have three months warranty I would check it out as there can be more manufacturer warranty behind it I believe.

Otherwise amd is your best bet at 100-150. I will have a look around.

I could never recommend a 950 under oretty much any circumstances at that price. 770 are better than 960 if you can get one cheap.

I would post a separate thread for your gpu in that section but I spotted a 4gb 380 for 170...out of stock though.

That could be your best bet as I woudn't want to buy a 2gb card nowadays if there was a choice.

I would be sorely tempted but maybe read a review or two of that exact card before you commit.

I went for that card before I realised it's stated length wad the pcb length and not the entire length.

Just bear in mind that the rrp of a 290 nowadays is nowhere near 360. I would say 200 is more realistic.

have you looked at a software solution to your problem? It won't help with needing an extra monitor/mouse/keyboard, but my partner and myself both game using one desktop.

You might need to up the spec of your current machine a little, but generally works out cheaper that an additional new system. Software I use is windows 7 only, which might also be a sticking point...

Otherwise might be worth a try?
