Im looking to upgrade my PC. It's currently:

Abit? AN7 Mobo
Barton 2500 (clocked to 3200 when it's not too hot)
ATI 9800SE
1gb PC2700 Samsung (x2 512mb)

So as you can see it's pretty dated now so something better than that would be lovely. I have a decent hard drive, or at least good enough for now so Im not too worried about changing that this is the same for the RAM. Would PC3200 make much off a difference?

Bascially, a new motherboard, graphics card and processor. Upgrade isn't essential but I want to see what I can get for £200-250 and if I'd see a significant change in gaming performance.

I've tried that before and got squares (artifacts)? on the screen. This was using the omega drivers I think.

edit: forgot to mention it doesn't have to be AMD.

Shame.

I suggest buying the Asrock Dual-SATA2 + an Athlon 64 3700 Retail + Connect3d Radeon X1800XT. As this is overbudget, you may want to consider keeping the 9800SE while you save for the X1800. Keep the PC2700 (wont make much difference to performance).

Thanks sr4470, that comes to £137.36 which is lovely. Would I see a large change in performace if I had that new setup with my current RAM and graphics card?

Depends on the particular application. Something like UT2004\CSS will benefit more than say, FEAR.
