Hey everyone,

First time post on here but been viewing the forum for years. I ve built comps before but its been a few years since my last one ( quite a few considering it has a geforce 6800 gt that was just released when i made it).

The problem i have at the moment is i only have a £650 budget and i need a decent gaming/work pc for the next 3 years. I do play a lot of games and i wanna run the newest ones if possible.

Requirements are:

Need a monitor, anything 22" or bigger.
Need a keyboard and mouse ( i like the gaming mice so if anyone can suggest a good one cheaply, very much appreciated.)
Will be running a raid 1 configuration so need 2 hard drives.

Here is what i ve got so far and as you can see its way over budget but i ve lost touch with what components are good with what and how good they are when running newer games, eg CoD WaW. Would love it if it could run MW2.

Dell S2409W 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor
£179.98

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £147.99

AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition 2.8GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail £97.99

Antec 902 Nine Hundred Two Ultimate Gaming Case - Black (No PSU) £89.99

Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-650TXUK) £77.99

Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P AMD 770 (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard £76.99

Corsair XMS3 DHX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600C9DHX Twin3X (TW3X4G1600C9DHX) £69.99

Microsoft HABU 2000dpi High Precision Gaming Mouse (9VV-00003) £38.00

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (ST3500418AS) X2 £73.96

Logitech Classic Keyboard 200 (968019-0120) Logitech Classic Keyboard 200 (968019-0120) £8.99

Total £879.70

Cheers for the help guys :D

only thing i could suggest is get a crossfire compatible board and a slightly more powerful psu just in case you decide you want/need to crossfire the 4890 in the future!

I don't know why you want the Habu either... save and get something else. Like the Logitech RX1000 or anything cheaper than that one OCers...

you could get a 550 cpu -£20
antec 300 gaming case -£44
Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse (910-000616) -£11
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024MB GDDR5 Vapor X PCI-Express Graphics Card -£18
or
XFX ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card -£33

either -£93 or -£108

Only thing I can think of after that as all the ram seems to be out of stock is a cheaper monitor either 24" or go for a 22" for a lower res therefore you would need a lower spec machine

If you don't actually use all the buttons on the mouse... just get a salmosa.. I'd recommend it to anyone that don't use the extra buttons.. and it saves you quite a lot of money :p
I've tried quite a few mice, and I must say.. Salmosa is my favourite.. have tried Logitech G5, Razer Lachesis, Krait and Habu..
