My other question raised a couple more questions. I have a couple of SAS drives I would like to attach to my PC, not using RAID or anything but ideally still supporting the 6GB/sec transfer rates.
What is the cheapest way to do this? I know that really good SAS controllers can cost a lot, does anyone have any budget recommendations?
I may be able to pillage the server graveyard at work if a server SAS controller would work for my PC, not sure on that front though.
