Which is better price/performance?
looking at ordering to replace OS Drive in a gigabyte laptop:

Crucial BX100 - 250GB - £73
SAMSUNG EVO 850 - 250GB - £85
Kingston v300 - 240GB -£60
Sandisk Ultra Plus 256GB - £80

The V300 is cheap as chips but I'm guessing theres a reason for that ;)

Thanks

Cruicial or Samsung. The Samsung will be more than likely be slightly quicker but the Crucial is a solid drive for it's price

The Kingston aren't bad drives but aren't the fastest, and I've not read much about the SanDisk

The Crucial BX100 looks good for the money, it lacks higher end features such as data reliability but if you don't need that it's a great drive for the price.

Cheers.

Went with the Crucial, play it safe seems the best for value and is fairly new to the market.

Ended up ordering from the rainforest as needed a new laptop bag etc ;)

Had a similar conundrum the other day and went for the Crucial BX100 250GB, mainly because it was £60 with next day delivery (elsewhere)!

Looks like essentially a cheaper copy of the very popular MX100. Now to actually find some time to clone my current SSD over...
