Hi, been hanging around a while, but first post.
My Nephew is getting into animation, and related video stuff.
Using programs like:
Maya/Unity 3D. Video editing etc - Sony Vegas, Adobe premiere and Adobe after effects.
His laptop just cant cut it anymore.
My question is this, AMD or Intel? What would be best for the job? Both fit the budget. Just not sure which would be best for these apps.
Oh and will need the onboard graphics, just for now. (i do have spare ATi5450 to loan if necessary)
AMD; Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H with AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 555 3.20GHz or maybe a better Mobo to hopefully unlock other cores.
Intel; Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H with Intel Core i3 540 3.06GHz
I'm more than capable of over-overclocking to get extra speed, and the other components easy for budget really;
F3 HDD 1tb
4Gb ram
CM Elite 335 case
Cooler Master GX 550W
Also will 4gb ram be enough?
Overall budget is £300-£350 already have W7x64
Thanks for reading any help and suggestions for alternates welcome.
