just recently got my rig back after long messy breakup. Good to see her again she was loved in her day however she is defo missing that edge needed now.

dont have a lot to spend so just want to go for new cpu, mb, and fan that fits in my original case. dont need to o/c or anything fancy like that. I assume that anything is going to be better than i have at the mo. please can anyone help.

120quid wont get me anything amazing but must be an improvement on what i have. just an improvement to get me by until i stop paying her maintainence and have a better cash flow.

CP-117-AM AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice (Socket 939) - Retail (ADA3000BPBOX) (CP-117-AM)
£49.99 £49.99
MB-002-AK Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 (Socket 939 & Upgradable to AM2) AGP & PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-002-AK)
£37.99 £37.99

Your memory should work with the above motherboard also your graphics card will also work.

just purchasing now.. but hang on.. the 3000+ is the same price as the 3200+....£58.74 Including VAT.. should i go for the 3200+.. is there any real difference in perfomance?

Yea def go for the 3200+ for the same price. It'll run at 2.0Ghz instead of 1.8Ghz which is def worth the difference as it's over 10% faster :)
