Hi,

Looking to upgrade my current system (3200 Barton w/6800gs and 1gb RAM) for something a little bit more modern as it's starting to get a bit sluggish these days.

I've already got a decent PSU (500w Tagan), case, optical drives, monitor etc, so really I'll be needing a new CPU (C2Duo?), MoBo, Memory, HDD and Graphics card. The PC will be used for gaming and web browsing mostly.

Ideally I'd like to spend ~£400 as I'm not into spending absolute megabucks. And an 8800gts would be nice although that might be out of the question. I don't mind a bit of mild overclocking if it lets me buy some cheaper parts.

Cheers. x

Overclock the E2160 to ~3GHz easily and your sorted.

If you are gonna overclock, it might be an idea to buy an aftermarket cooler, cheap option would be a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler .

Looks promising Trueblue, cheers. I was looking at the AC freezer to let things run a little bit quieter and more stable, heard good things about it as everyone seems to have one!

Thanks a lot for the suggestions.
