Bug crawling around inside screen

Just got another one!! :mad::mad:

Is there any way to take apart the screen to get it out without damaging everything??

I used the mouse trick last summer - make the screen black so your pointer is the only light source, then 'herd' the thunderbug with the mouse pointer until it gets to the edge of the screen - it will be attracted to the back light and disappear round the back of the monitor to its doooom - mwahahahahah :D (It's harder than it sounds and was actually quite an addictive little game - but then I have simple tastes!)

I've got 1 as well now, leaving it and hoping it goes to a side so i can squish it :/

Awesome, I put a lamp next to my monitor a lured it to the bezel then squished it, can't even see it now. Win.

LOL. Someone needs to make a flash game of that.

Just had a count up, got 7 in mine at the moment. 2 have been there since last summer, and they must have invited 5 of their friends over to join the party this summer :(

Going to see if I can take the cover off/monitor apart, already tried shaking it and blowing compressed air into the gaps..

I had one in my work monitor a week ago. I completely unplugged the monitor and put a lamp next to it for the day ( I had a backup monitor for work). The next morning I saw the blighter on the outside of the screen and squashed it.

team leader had 1 in his monitor on saturday, so to try and remove it he tapped the screen now he has a dead bug in monitor.
His problem

Mines a cheapish 19inch widescreen acer which is now 4 years old or so I think. Still I was hoping it would have something to stop bugs from coming in.
