...literally. I had the side of my case off and I saw a moth fly in, crawl along the pcb of my graphics card for abit and then get sucked into the fan and fall out. Could this damage my system? D:

Lol. I also have my side panel off. I am guessing from your post that moth got sucked into gpu fan and presumably died:D. If gpu is the case then play some demanding games for a while and see if you get any artifacts or anything else appearing on your screen. Other than that I think you are fine.

More importantly, was there any smoke?

Has the body been removed?

Nothing as dramatic as that I'm afraid. It just got sucked in and then fell out. I assume it's still in the bottom of my case. The area of the pcb it was walking on has hardly any connections on it and I've had no problems so far so I'm going to assume it's ok.

I would spray the inside of the case with some "bug buster" on the bits where there is no circuitry, ie, removable side panel, rear panel etc. If the moth dispersed eggs, then when these hatch the "bug buster" will kill them off avoiding future "flutter" artefacts on screen.

Mmm, good idea. I looked in the case this morning and I couldn't find it, so it seems it didn't die, no idea if it managed to get out or if it's still in their somewhere :(

I had a bee in mine once... got in cos i left one of the pcie covers off. Soon as i opened up the pc, it flew straight out, and into a PSU I had on my desk. And survived.

Well I read up on moths abit and seems it would be pretty unlikely for them to lay eggs in a computer. I'll still give it a spray if I get round to buying any.
