i was wondering if some one else could check this out. on both my win 10 desktop and win mobile 10, if you start the calculator that comes with the os and switch it in a conversion mode then back to to calculator mode it rounds down your answer to the nearest whole number. eg 5 divided by 2 will give you the answer 2 instead of 2.5. it not a display bug as if you multiply by 2 you get 4 not 5

I have a bug with the calculator where if I press the calculator button on my keyboard, it opens at the back of the screen and I have to physically press on the calculator to get it to work.

Use the Calculator app, change to one of the converter modules using the burger key, change back to the standard (or scientific - not tried others) modules and try a simple sum that would normally result in a decimal answer - as Btone suggested 5/2=2 in this case, rather than 2.5.

Works normally here; which is why I said state the exact steps because it just doesn't happen.

If you open the Windows Store and check for updates are you up to date? Maybe the launch calc was broken or something.

Open Calculator.
Click the 3 lines at the top left.
Click on Volume.
Enter a value against teaspoon.
Click the 3 lines at the top left.
Click on Standard
Click 5
Click Divide
Click 2

Get answer of 2.

Pretty certain that the apps update automatically. Certainly the built-in ones do as allowing the apps to update causes Sysprep to fail when trying to deploy Windows images - you have to ensure that the master image never accesses the internet so it can't update the apps.

The updating of metro apps occurs even if it's been disabled in the windows store. You need to disable the scheduled task that is hidden away. So while what you say is true some 'privacy tools' may disable said feature. You'd be surprised what people fail to mention when it comes to computer problems, but that's another issue.

Answer here is 2.5 normally BUT I can recreate the bug.

You need to have closed the calc on a previous run while it was in conversion mode. You will then get the rounding bug as described.
