Hi, I've just bought the oculus rift and touch and now i'm getting a sufficiently specced pc to run it. Unfortunately i don't see an option to add additional peripheral cards to the build on the configurator and I'd like to add as many usb 3.1 ports as needed by the oculus with a few to spare - could you advise on the build and whether this is possible and the additional cost ? Further, could you advise on whether I can run a 27" monitor via a HDMI from this rig ? I'm not entirely sure you can access my wish list so I've pasted the proposed system build in below.
NZXT Source 340 Midi Tower Gaming Case White/Purple
gigabyte GA-AB350 AMD B350
AMD RYZEN 7 1700X
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4)DDR4 PC4- 21300X16 2666Mhz Dual channel kit
OcUK GeForce GTX1080 Founders Edition 8192MB GDDR5X PCI Express
Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo CPU cooler
Samsung 250gb 850 Evo SSD 2.5" SATA 6GPBS SSD (FOR OS)
Kolink KL600 600W Power supply
Onboard Sound
Onboard Network adapter
OCUK 24x DVD RW
Bitfenix alchemy 2.0 magnetic connect 15LED strip 30cm BLUE
Microsoft Windows 10 64BIT DVD
Cougar Immersa 300H gaming headset
Cougar Deathfire EX Gaming mouse and keyboard

Thanks

another option if you feel comfortable doing so is to buy a usb 3.1 add-on card and installing it yourself, you can typically find them with 5+ usb ports relatively cheaply and it connects to the motherboard usb 3.0/3.1 header :)

failing that the really easy option is just to buy a usb 3.1 hub that connects to one usb 3.1 slot on the back of your PC to give you extra ports

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

The psu that you have chosen is just rubbish and despite the label saying 600w that's total power and only actually has 480w on the 12v rail where it's needed. Any modern decent psu should be able to deliver all, or near enough all of it's power on the 12v rail. You want much faster memory than that for Ryzen as well. What screen res is that 27" monitor? If you state your budget I am sure someone will put together a better build for you.
