Build Advice

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for some build advice please... unusual huh!

I have had the current setup for almost 2 years!! Shock horror!

So time for a change.


I am trying to do it without spending a fortune plus I don't need it to be the most powerful etc.

So - -

Cpu I was thinking time to go back to Intel and get an e2180 - not sure on cooler? it will be overclocked!

Then motherboard I was thinking about the IP35-DS3R
but then I prefer Nvidia graphics cards but am a bit stuck on an equivalent that will do SLI with nvidia (not that I deffo need SLI but seems daft not to have the option right!)

Now ram I was thinking about Ballistix -

Seems this overclocks really well and is good stuff.

Case wise I will probably get an Antec P182 plus an Antec PSU maybe the quattro 850 more likely the trio 650

after this I'm stuck!

Which GPU? cheaper card but 2 of them sli'd? or slightly better single card then add later? or just not bother with 2 at all don't really game very often on the pc anymore that's what the 360 / Wii / ds if for

thoughts anyone?

Yes a budget is easier to work with...

Don't really have a fixed budget. Sort of depends on what it cost's But around £300 for the board/cpu/ram/cooler/case/psu graphics I can use the existing one if necessary for a while.
