I've put this build together with the intension of putting a 5090 in when it is released. I'll run the onboard graphics to get it set up. I'm not bothered about wifi so wondering if the Asrock x870 pro RS would do the same job given I'll only tweak PBO and probably leave the memory at 6000, which I understand is the current sweet spot. I'm looking at maybe installing some games on a second drive so I'd also like to know if I can install two of the T500's on this board and if yes, will it lower any of the other slot speeds.
Thank You

Hi.

Memory your correct 6000mhz C30 is the sweet spot for AM5 .

You can install upto 3 x pcie4 m2 drives with no affect on speed according to the specifications.

Could save money on the PSU going gold rated the be quiet reviews well.

CPU cooler and fans you could get a aio water cooler instead .

Shouldn't need thermal paste but it's always handy to have spare.

Thanks for those tips and info. Does anyone know the answer to the motherboard question ?
The only way to know is to bury your head in the manual. There's a block diagram on page 11 which suggests that if you use the 3rd M.2 slot it will use the lanes on the second PCI-E (full length) slot.

I got this system build a week ago and it runs fine with a bit of tuning on the memory secondary timings. I ended up with the parts in my first post. I'm running it on the igpu atm and hoping to get either a 5090 or 5080 on the Jan 30th.
