That might have less storage but a much better GPU which dragged it over budget. What is the main purpose of the machine?

The two builds you've been prompted with are fine, the 450W PSU is probably the best choice, it's plenty for what you're doing. Go with the graphics card Stulid suggested, as it's on special this week.

You could shave a little off by going for a cheaper case, the one recommended is a good case, but they're down to personal taste from the outside, and while it's nice to work with a ducted case with rounded edges etc... you're not in and out of the case that often so it is a luxury.

The Samsung memory you picked in your build is super stuff, however it's not the best place for you to spend your money. If your build had a 2500K, good motherboard, an SSD and a 570 then that's probably when it'd be worth looking at premium memory.

Edit : I've not looked at Honosuseri's post, he posted as I was typing.

You might want to skip the hard drive, and see if you can get by with whatever drive you have at the moment. You may even be able to squeeze a 60GB SSD in there if you shave a little off as I suggested and you have another drive you can use. 120GB is preferable for an SSD in my opinion, but an SSD will make a monumental difference to your overall experience.

How did you know i posted then if you didn't look to see it? lol

The case is cheaper (as you suggested) for £46 that really is a steal, especially as it comes with 4 120mm fans and a fan controller. The CPU, mobo and RAM combo is bang on....you get USB3 and sata 3 from that mobo, you'll only do better by spending more....not less.

I used a smaller HDD to save a few quid, the 550W PSU removes power concerns later if he upgrades. Ok the GPU i used put me over budget but it was £100 more than the asus 6850.

If we knew what the machine was for it's easier to balance it out
