I’m going to be upgrading from a 4690k system shortly. I already have a 2070S to go in it.

Not really there good budget ram but lower timings will give you slight performance gains.

Definitely not worth getting a 3600x or xt imo. The 3600 can overclock depending on how good a chip you get. And for a bit less than £300 you can get the significantly faster Zen 4 5600xt.

For a 100 notes you can get a decent nvme 1tb like mentioned. WD sn550 tends to be the cheaper decent model when ever i look.

If penny pinching you could save a bit more with matx b550 and non ryzen tweaked ram. You'd see bigger benefits from the 5600x. The PSU you could probably save on, but i'd check on wattage calculator and think about if you're ever gonna go to a more demanding gpu in the next 8yrs. Crystal ball needed there though

That TeamGroup actually has most latencies faster than Corsairs:
19-19-19-39 vs. 18-22-22-42

I may actually do the same, and upgrade to current gen at some stage next year when dust has settled a proper reviews come out.

Yeah, over on the 5X00 release page they're up in arms about the delays. I don't know about you, but my current system isn't fab, so I've got more of an incentive to get a fix in place sooner rather than later. Placed my order tuesday and its still not shipped yet, which makes me sad.

Sounds like we are in the same boat. Yea I was just reading that thread. I was convinced my pc was about to die a few days ago but its holding out.
