Would like to say thanks for my build you guys put up for me a while ago.

I have a mate who needs a new computer and monitor.

His budget is £600-£700 (max)

He uses it just for gaming and a bit of internet stuff i.e. facebook

So needs the monitor and PC.

Gaming!

Depends what kind of gaming though. I've heard BF3 will make use of hyperthreading. Would be interesting to see how the i3 copes.

Nonetheless, if we can budget for a i5, then why not give the option. I suppose then it depends how he feels about forking out an extra 100+ for a core system. IMO the 2500K is always worth it.
