Build for MMO gaming

Hi I'm looking to build a PC primarily for MMO gaming. Probably Diablo 3 as well. The cheaper the better really. I'd very rarely use it for FPS or anything really demanding, if at all. I'm looking at this build, any thoughts/changes?

I already have an OS, hard drives and keyboard/mouse.

Your basket
AMD A8-3870K 3.00GHz (Socket FM1) APU Processor (AD3870WNGXBOX) £89.99

Asus F1A75-M AMD A75 Chipset (Socket FM1) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £72.79

Asus HD 6670 SILENT EDITION 1024MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card £64.99

TeamGroup Elite 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TED316G1600HC11DC) £64.99

Corsair Builder Series CX 600W V2 '80 Plus' Power Supply (CMPSU-600CXUKV2) £54.98

Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black £40.99

I have no idea why I chose 16GB RAM but I'll leave it in there for now. I'd possibly throw in a SSD for the OS as well.

how much budge is on that £500 (if any), if someone said its worth putting the exta xx amount over budget to make sure its that little bit better?

Can buy without SSD to knock it down by 30 quid if needed

Dunn let me point some things out with your spec :)

First its a 1GB 7850 with less of a stock clock than the Gigabyte.

The MSI board is gimped comapred to the ASUS or Gigabyte one

For me having a non modular PSU in a midi case can create a lot of mess, also the Coolermaster is quieter and has nice cables.

i know
i know
and i know

but hes on a budget, didnt wanna slam too far over. as if its 500 with a monitor 150 over that might be abit too much of a stretch?

also the shinobi gaming case is nicer 8)

edit** if hes willing to go to £650 ill happily point out to get your spec over mine :)

Mines over by only £14 ;)

Remember the monitor has £40 cashback.

HAHA Didnt think of that.

but will need to wait for OP to say whether that budget was with or without monitor. as he will still need to pay the fulll amount upfront then claim £40 back.

and if its with its 114 over, wheras without the SSD mines is 70 over (assuming budget is 500 with monitor)

but we wont know till he posts ^^

Yeah didn't really explain it well. I didn't really have a budget in mind if I'm honest, I knew I'd spend around £600-£650, or less if it was possible. (which I suppose is a budget :D ) The £500 I mentioned was without the monitor.

Thanks for your help.

i would still stick with MSI mboard. cant see it making a catastrophic difference having the gigabyte one over the msi, except saving 8 quid to spend elsewhere.

1 pound over sorry :D

p.s

if you could spare an extra 85 quid ( a big ask i know) it would be worth getting the i5 3570k, just to really future proof it. then for crimbo ask someone to get you a half decent cpu cooler for £30. stock will be fine but in future would be best to get a half decent cpu cooler.

The Gigabyte board is of better quality, can overclock better, has UK RMA and has more internal connectors.

I think I'll plump for Bacons spec but with the i5 cpu.

Thanks a lot :)

His spec is solid indeed, no point in me replicating it.

I went for something very similar for my new build, one of the new i3 ivybridges with a 7850 as I don't really need a quad for games.
