Hi,

I've recently got round to building the computer that I ordered parts for.

It's all built but for some reason when I start it up, the case fans and CPU fan start spinning and it goes off - I don't even get a display on the monitor and the graphics card fans don't even spin. The list below is what I've got.

Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Toshiba SSD HG5D Series THNSNH 7mm 128GB Solid State Hard Drive - (THNSNH128GCST)
Toshiba SSD HG5D Series THNSNH 7mm 60GB Solid State Hard Drive - (THNSNH060GCST)
XFX Pro 550W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
Corsair Carbide 200R Compact ATX Case - Black
GeIL EVO Leggera 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (GEL38GB1600C9DC)
Alpenföhn Matterhorn Pure Edition CPU Cooler
Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - OEM
Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

I'd appreciate the help.

Cheers

All power connections connected including the 4 or 8 pin for CPU power, also make sure your using both power connections on the GPU as well.

Try a CMOS reset.

That was the issue, I hadn't plugged in the CPU power. Thanks for your help!

I've got another problem now though - my monitor isn't displaying anything.

Any idea what this could be?

Cheers again

What does it do if you connect to the motherboard graphics output?

Try a different monitor to rule out that might be the case, otherwise is the graphics card power pins plugged into your psu correctly?

I'm in work at the moment but I was actually running it from the onboard mobo to make sure it booted up correctly and it showing any display from it.
Problem with mobo?

I'll try from the graphics card later.
