The op is obviously trolling.
However, I do think there's a good point here. I think the main objective of a gaming pc is to hit an average of 40fps on a game, with a lower of not less than 25fps. I think you can do that at an initial outlay of around £600 - if you know what you are doing, are prepared to wheel and deal (i.e. some second hand kit), and give up on a few obvious outliers i.e. crysis. And from that point, again if you wheel and deal, you can keep up to date by regularly trading your way to upgrades. The monitor, case, psu etc. may not be great; sound may not be a strong point etc. But I guess you could maintain the ability to play almost all games over a three year period for <£1,000 - I bet lots of people posting on here do just that.
I reckon you pay double that if you only want to buy once i.e. at the start, for a similar experience. And if you want better cases, monitors etc., £4,000 inclusive of vat, delivery, and potentially build cost, is very easy to spend. No need to get 3x5970s etc., just start buying top end Lian Li cases, and gold rated 1000w psu...
