Memory out of stock, but they have others in stock for 20.00 more, above is a starting point :)

Why not tri core? most apps dont use quad yet so this is a cheaper option.
Didnt know if you meant supports sli/crossfire, or actually have it. Threw it in anyway xD

Erm, no offence to anyone, but if he can get the i7 for £700, there really is no point spending the same amount on anything else... especially when most of the other specs are basically the same apart from small differences.

Erm, no offence to anyone, but if he can get the i7 for £700, there really is no point spending the same amount on anything else... especially when most of the other specs are basically the same apart from small differences.

He doesn't want i7 though. And he does have a point, i7 is a very good architechture, but you're paying a premium for it and why spend that much cash if you don't do the CPU-intensive tasks it's designed for? May aswell spend the difference on quality components elsewhere.

But the difference in all the other specifications has been a slighly bigger hard drive or slighly more powerful PSU, and yet it still costs £700. That's hardly a premium.

Doesn't make money sense to spend the same amount on basically the same specification but with, lets be honest, much slower CPUs.

And the £700 i7 spec has more RAM than all the others...

And i7 wasn't designed for purely CPU-intensive tasks. It's awesome at everything.

If he doesn't want i7, that's fair enough, but don't spend the same amount on the same components (near enough) coupled with much slower CPUs. That's just silly.

EDIT: Just seen your spec in your other thread; yeah, go for the i7 setup. Anything else isn't worth the upgrade, dude.
