Build problem / sp reset cable.

Hello all, started my first ever build today and after 5 hours of trying not mess anything up I got to the wiring side of things and have a problem. My pc gets power but on turns on for a second then off. I seem to be missing a sp reset cable, should this come with the case like l.e.d and power cable did and is that what could be causing my problem? I've got the enthoo pro and my mobo is a msi z97 gaming 5. If you need pictures i can upload tomorrow. Cheers for reading and any advice you have!

Cpu power cable connected?

thanks for that link, it helped me fix my problem. It was the ram, i removed one stick and it booted then when i removed the other and put the stick in it wouldn't work so had a faulty stick which i got replaced and now its working fine except once i try getting windows installed i get to the setup screen and keyboard and mouse stop working but they do work in bios fine. Tried different usb ports and checked nothing was disabled in the bios and still getting nothing.

Tried booting in safe mode then installing drivers?

i cant access safe mode because i haven't got windows installed yet, at least i think im not able to access it without windows right? i've tried pressing f8 and nothing. I'm still just getting to the setup screen and thats were the keyboard and mouse stop working.

Why I always keep an old keyboard / mouse with the old conections. .
