Looking into building a new computer for my cousin, his current [email protected] doesn't really cut it. He has a budget of about £350 excluding a graphics card, he's having my old nVidia 7900gs :P
He needs everything, I was thinking maybe the AM2 bundle on OCUK?

Any thoughts?

He needs an operating system...

cheers

No, no monitor. He has keyboard and mouse, but if that can be fitted into the price then it would be good. His are a bit old and worn...

Windows 7 is only out until march 2010?

Dauthi, your spec looks good. I think he wants Vista though :\, or windows 7 i guess...

Ill find out :)

Okay, He will use Windows 7 then :)

So thats £350 for it. I was thinking a mini case would be good, he doesnt have much room and he will only have 1, maybe 2 HDDS and 1 DVD drive so...

That sounds good, but i think im going to do some kind of combination of mine and his PCs if i go intel. Id have the e7400 and titan cooler. He can have my e5200 and Arctic cooler. Then i should be able to get it closer to £300 :)

My PC:
E7400 (will OC it)
Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3
Titan Fenrir CPU Cooler
Kingston HyperX 8500+ 4GB
GTX 260 896mb
Antec 300
Corsair VX550
WD Black 500GB
Vista Home (32bit) + Windows 7 (64bit)

His PC:
E5200 @ 3.5ghz
Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler
Corsair 6400 2GB
7900GS (lol)
Coolmaster 335
OCZ Modstream 400w modular psu
WD Caviar Blue 320GB
Windows 7 (32 or 64bit???)

Thoughts?
