Hey guys, I have been working on a spec for a new machine I'm going to build. Going for air cooling and I have attempted to future proof a bit with it. Below is the list of gear I am toying with at the moment, this is working to a budget of £2,000.
-----------------
Case: Inwin Dragon Rider Black Gaming Tower Case
Mobo: Asus ROG Maximus IV Extreme-Z Z68 S1155 Motherboard
Psu: OCZ ZX Series 1000W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply
Cpu: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor
Cpu Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler
Ram: G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C7 1600MHz
Gpu: MSI GTX 580 Lightning Xtreme Edition
OS drive: OCZ RevoDrive3 120GB PCI-E SSD
Data drive: Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache
Optical: LG BH10LS38 10x BluRay-RW / 16 x DVD±RW Lightscribe Drive
-----------------
Is there any part selection you would change? and do you think this build will be powerful enough to run 1920x1080@120hz with at least some decent graphic quality or is it not worth getting 120hz and just limiting to 60fps and ramping the quality up.
Thanks
