Building 3d HTPC... need help

Hi, i am thinking of building a new HTPC for my girlfriends new apartment, she has just got a 3d TV so i need it to be capable of 3d output to the tv. Whats the best way ( Cheapest too) to do this. I have been told that its better to use an ATI graphics card rather than an nvidia. Also i was thinking of using an i3 intel processor but do this have the power required for 3d playback?

an A3870k skt FM1 (llano) will do 3d playback with no issues

This is what i use for my HTPC, plays back 3D blu rays using PowerDVD with ease.

So thats the processor i take it, any particular motherboard better to pair with it? i wont be overclocking

Yea thats the CPU which has an integrated HD 6550D capable of 3D play back. I use the F1A75-I DELUXE motherboard with mine.
