In feb I get 5k from inheritance. Im putting around £1800 a side for a top end gaming rig. This includes a 23" gaming monitor.
I have been out of the techy side of PCs for a few years due to space, So i ended up buying a toshiba p200-123 laptop "shudders". It was ok for WoW at the time.
Anyway Im looking towards intel, (AMD burnt me in the past). Plus the HT for number crunching for virtual synths. Im also looking at todays GPU cards and looking towards nvidia. This rig will mainly be for running Alelton live, Virtual synths and most important. To run Star Wars: The old republic.(highest settings if poss
So, the question is the price of tech around febuary.
Will the ivy bridge be out by then? If so what will the price be?
Im looking now and ill looking towards an i7 2600k SB with a gtx580. Obviously these are top grade prices at the moment. But if they drop in price. Will there be a big difference in febuary.
